i think this song is such a class piece of genius...the way McFly play live is beyond me. They've played it so many different ways and in my eyes, and all McFly fans, it will always be number 1.

Im sorry but how have you turned an average cheesy teenage pop song to a quote by Harvey Milk? lol amazingly twisted logic there, but hey. I see what youre saying obviosusly music is very personal to everyone and this song reminds you of good times, fine! I personally find "Unwritten" - by *whispers* Natasha Beddingfield very uplifting and hopeful... but I'm going to be honest I haven't voted for it and I'll tell you why- its absolute Cack! Vote for whatever you want but don't tell me the legion of teenagers linked here from the internet are voting for it because it was the most influential and emotionally resonant song for them this decade, even u2 Beautiful Day stors a chord in me, this tripe never will

I believe that McFLY's music provides hope for people. So what, if it places people into a world full of fantasy? When people grow up and realise the world is not perfect, people can relate to those times when they were carefree and happy, and listen again to music they once cherished and it will provide them with hope or then again they can listen to other music and yet not "hate on" young musicians. I understand that you do not like this music, but you know what? that doesn't matter to me, and you can write anything you want back in reply to critisize or correct my spelling, but i don't care. i am writing this because i love McFLY, i am all the way over in New Zealand but i will stick up for them and defend them because thats what i want to do, ha you'll love this bit: and i hoping to make music just like them :P ("Without hope life is not worth living."-Harvey Milk)

Here's the thing. McFly promote this bubblicious world where life is all candy bars and sugar pops, but as you get older, you'll come to realise that there is some horrible stuff out there. There are also people who share your opinion, and others who don't. There are over Seven Billion People on this planet, and, by the law of averages, we're not all going to share the same opinion. But the beauty of living in the UK, is that we have this thing called Freedom of Speech, whereby we're all entitled to voice our thoughts whenever and however we like. Stargirl05 and corrupted53 probably don't like most of the music i'm into, and you're both more than welcome to comment on my choices, and i promise i won't cry. At no point have i made personal judgements on either of you, so to call me an "idiot" just reduces this open forum to a slanging match, which benefits nobody. If McFly float your boats, crack on and enjoy, but they don't float mine along with many other artists and if i want to say that, i will, because i can. Soooooooo there.
