The song was released as the band's twenty-first radio single on October 22, 2008 and was released on the iTunes Store on November 9, 2008. It was written by Axl Rose and Josh Freese. Hey man, it wasn't an awful album, if u look at it at as just an album, not a guns n roses one. But a bit more promotion from axl wouldn't have done anybody harm. Madagascar, better and street of dreams are my favourite and where is that "better" music video we promised?

There are no singles on this god awful album. Its a stain on the memory of the greatest hard rock band of all time. Axl you should be ashamed

There Was a Time, I.R.S., Shackler's Revenge, Better, Scraped and among others are better than Chinese Democracy. How come this is only the single released by New Guns N' Roses?

SORRY is the best song I like most. How come there's only 1 single on the Chinese Democracy album? There's BETTER, IF THE WORLD, PROSTITUTE, I.R.S. and ALL songs are like greatest hits of every good band.

Chinese Democracy is the first track in the whole album, there are more songs that rock your world. You can't imagine to hear the songs "There Was A Time", "Shackler's Revenge", "Better", "This I Love", "Prostitute", "Sorry" and others. It's a masterpiece, IMO.

Chinese Democracy was released on Black Frog/Geffen Records in November 2008 and reached 3 times Platinum in Canada, Platinum in Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, UK, Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa. The album is Gold in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Holland, Sweden, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Brazil and Colombia. In the U.S., the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009.
