Without a doubt - SONG OF THE DECADE (plus 2 years)! It may not have been released with in the last decade but its dominated and inspired music in the last decade and well deserves a spot in here. It deserves the number 1 spot!

As someone from the Bay Area in California, this song reminds me of Graduation, as it came out just as I was getting out of High school. Green day started of as local legends and now they are World wide superstars. But 1997 is not of this decade and re-release is a horrible way to look at getting in. Look at Queen songs that they put in the 90's because of Wayne's World

who cares why the song is on here now, the fact is it is, and it should be song of the decade, we should campaign to get this song re-released so it gets the recognition it deserves, and it does deserve

Like the song, but not really last 10 years... On the 'Nimrod' album from 1997. 12 years.

Every time I hear this song it gives me a warm feeling in my chest - like remembering good times with a long lost friend. When they finished their gig with this song the other day in Sheffield, I have never heard a crowd, let alone a rock/punk crowd be so quiet - absolutely spellbinding.
